Features (1) ›
- Support for OpenSearch 3.7 on Amazon OpenSearch Service
Amazon OpenSearch Service now supports OpenSearch version 3.7, offering enhanced vector search performance and improved search relevance. This update is available in all AWS Regions where the service is offered.
Enhancements (3) ›
- Vector Search Performance Improvements
OpenSearch 3.7 introduces 1-bit scalar quantization on Faiss and Lucene engines, compressing vectors to reduce storage and memory needs for vector workloads while preserving search accuracy. Additionally, vectors can be retrieved faster using doc values instead of document source, eliminating the need for reindexing.
- Enhanced Search Relevance Workbench
The Search Relevance Workbench now includes new evaluation metrics, CSV judgment uploads, and expanded hybrid search optimization features. These additions help users measure and improve the quality of their search results.
- New Query Insights Capabilities
The release introduces new Query Insights features, such as automated query recommendations and a finished-queries cache for observing recent queries. Users can also export top query data to Amazon S3 for analysis, aiding in the identification of expensive queries and trend analysis.
