Features (1) ›
- Direct Kafka to S3 data delivery with MSK Express
Amazon MSK Express brokers can now deliver Apache Kafka data directly to Amazon S3 general purpose buckets. This fully managed capability simplifies the process of sending Kafka data to S3 for downstream use cases like log archival, compliance retention, and AI/ML model training.
Enhancements (3) ›
- Reduced cost and operational complexity
This new capability automatically scales to handle high-throughput Kafka data to S3, reducing ingestion and delivery costs by up to 60% compared to self-managed alternatives. It eliminates the need for customers to build, manage, and secure custom S3 connector plugins.
- Simplified management and reliability
MSK Express automatically manages scaling, retries, and backpressure for data delivery to S3, removing operational overhead and the need for cross-team coordination. It supports throughput of up to 10 GB/s and handles routine operations without delivery gaps.
- No incremental infrastructure costs
Customers can add this delivery capability without provisioning additional broker egress throughput, eliminating incremental infrastructure costs associated with scaling connector-based pipelines. This allows scaling delivery to actual workload demand.
