Google Cloud's Data Catalog service will be deprecated starting June 1, 2026, with potential disruptions to API access. Knowledge Catalog, formerly Dataplex Catalog, is not impacted by this change. Users are advised to migrate to Knowledge Catalog before the deprecation date.

Starting June 1, 2026, the Data Catalog service begins a phased shutdown. From this date onward, you might experience disruptions or a complete lack of access to Data Catalog APIs. Knowledge Catalog (formerly known as Dataplex Catalog) operates without impact.
