EC2 Future-dated Capacity Reservations Can Now Be Cancelled
Amazon EC2 now allows customers to cancel future-dated capacity reservations, offering flexibility for changing plans. Cancellation may incur a charge, with terms presented for review and acceptance before processing. This feature is available to all existing customers and its regional availability can be found on the AWS Capabilities by Region website.

Amazon EC2 Future-dated Capacity Reservations can now be cancelled if plans change. A quote with exact terms is presented for review and acceptance before cancellation takes effect, with potential charges depending on timing.

- Track cancellation charges in AWS Cost and Usage Report
Cancellation charges for future-dated reservations are now tracked in the AWS Cost and Usage Report (CUR) 2.0. A new value in the Capacity Reservation Status column will indicate these charges.
