Bigtable now supports the list_hot_tablets MCP tool, allowing AI agents to programmatically query cluster health and identify resource-intensive hot tablets. This enhancement helps detect overutilized node CPUs, improving performance monitoring and management. The feature is now generally available for all Bigtable users.

AI agents can use the list_hot_tablets Model Context Protocol (MCP) tool to programmatically query Bigtable cluster health to isolate resource-intensive tablets (hot tablets) and detect overutilized node CPUs. This feature is generally available (GA) .
