AWS CLI adds support for Agent Toolkit installation wizard
The AWS Command Line Interface (CLI) now supports an interactive wizard for installing the Agent Toolkit for AWS across multiple coding agents, simplifying setup and management. This enhances agent capabilities by providing access to AWS APIs and expert guidance through skills and plugins. The Agent Toolkit's MCP Server is now available in US East (N. Virginia) and Europe (Frankfurt).

Users can now install the Agent Toolkit for AWS across various coding agents like Kiro, Claude Code, and Codex using a simple interactive wizard initiated by `aws configure agent-toolkit` command. This wizard helps users select and install desired skills and the MCP server across multiple agents.

The Agent Toolkit for AWS provides coding agents with tools, guidance, and guardrails, including the AWS MCP Server for secure API access and over 40 agent skills offering expert guidance on various AWS services. It also includes plugins to bundle the MCP server and curate skill sets.
- CLI for managing Agent Toolkit skills
The AWS CLI now allows users to easily search for, install, and manage skills from the Agent Toolkit for AWS. Users can update existing skills or install new ones to continuously equip their agents with expert guidance for diverse tasks.
