Amazon Redshift RG Instances Now on Trailing Track
Amazon Redshift now offers Graviton-based RG instances (rg.large, rg.12xlarge) on the trailing maintenance track, starting with patch P202. This enables customers prioritizing stability to leverage Graviton's performance benefits, offering up to 2.4x faster queries and 30% lower price per vCPU compared to RA3 instances. RG instances are now accessible on both leading and trailing tracks across all AWS regions where they are generally available.
