Amazon Corretto Releases July 2026 Quarterly Updates
Amazon has released its July 2026 quarterly security and critical updates for multiple Amazon Corretto LTS and FR versions of OpenJDK. This update includes new default Docker images based on Amazon Linux 2023 and removes JavaFX binaries from Corretto 8. These updates are now available for download and are relevant for all users of Amazon Corretto.

- JavaFX Binaries Removed from Corretto 8
JavaFX binaries are no longer included with Amazon Corretto 8 starting from this release. Migration recommendations for this change are available on Corretto 8 GitHub.

- Amazon Corretto Docker Images Now Default to Amazon Linux 2023
Starting with this release, the default Amazon Corretto Docker images are based on Amazon Linux 2023. Amazon Linux 2 images will continue to be provided as a non-default option.

Users can download the latest versions of Amazon Corretto 26, 25, 21, 17, 11, or 8. Updates can also be obtained through Corretto Apt, Yum, or Apk repositories on Linux systems.
